Testimonials
The following are some of the many reports sent back to us by previous
clients and highlight various areas of concern that they felt were addressed
satisfactorily. In addition, many have been happy to give their names
and contact details for other potential clients to make use of and to
help answer their concerns.
| Roger Gale MP wrote about his rescued cat from Cyprus |
"We should like to thank you - and all your
excellent staff - for ensuring Roo's stay with you over the past
six months has gone so well.
We are delighted to have her home finally, and in very much better
health and condition since her arrival from Cyprus last October.
She came through the period in quarantine wonderfully well and
is now settling down splendidly to life in the Gale household! I
am particularly grateful to you for the care, attention to detail
and genuine love that went into making her stay with you so successful." |
| Sir Andrew Wood GCMG Ex British Ambassador to Moscow wrote of his
Pyrennean Mountain dog Leah |
| "I write to thank you and your team for the way you looked
after Leah during her quarantine period. Adjusting from a reasonably
free life in Moscow to six months in kennels cannot have been easy,
especially for such a large dog. But she came out of it all well adjusted,
healthy and better groomed than ever she has been. We are most grateful
to you all for the care, attention and affection you lavished on her." |
| Mrs Elizabeth Shaban brought her dog from Amman and wrote |
"When I mention that she ha been in quarantine people do not
believe it because she looks so well and her coat lovely and shiny.
I am sure that Patsy's good condition is due to the excellent care
and attention she received from you and your staff at the Animal Inn.
PS Please feel free to pass on my e-mail address to any prospective
clients, I shall be happy to reassure them. (lizshaban@aol.com)" |
| Sue Aguleira from Australia with a PETS cat, wrote |
| "Again, I would like to stress what excellent staff you have.
All your employees we encountered were particularly kind and helpful
to us. I would definitely recommend The Animal Inn to anyone I knew
bringing their pets from overseas, please feel free to use me as a
reference if you ever need to. carlosagu@supanet.com" |
| Lady Salvatian Army Major with a cat & dog wrote |
"As promised I am writing a letter of recommendation to any
pet owner considering a choice of quarantine kennels in the UK. The
kennels had been recommended to me by friends in the Foreign Office
and my cat Midget and Yorkshire Terrier Lucy, spent six months at
the Animal Inn.
Naturally I was very anxious as Lucy was almost 15 years old, however,
from the moment I met Jonathan on the ferry at Dover, I felt reassured.
My pets were received with such kindness as well as understanding
of my feelings at my being parted from them.
Elderly Lucy ( as she was named at the kennels!) was given such care
and attention. A warm and cosy bed, little coat and heated lamp for
nights and when the weather turned cold. Her health was monitored
and when it was noticed her one and only tooth had become infected,
I was contacted and agreed to the vets recommendation it be removed.
I was given the vet's phone number and was able to talk things over
and be reassured Lucy was fit enough for an anaesthetic.
Midget the 2 year old cat thought she was in a holiday camp! She thrived,
put on weight and just loved her little balcony when she could glare
at passing dogs and people!
My email address is sheinakilbride@aol.com
for anyone who wishes to contact me." |
| Maureen Galloway from Peru brought her cat Daisy to us and wrote |
"Thank you for all you have done for Daisy during these six
months she has been in your care.
She arrived safely in Edinburgh last night and we picked her up at
the office of British Airways.
One thing I really want to share for anyone who in the future may
be in the same situation as myself and worried sick about leaving
your pet in the care of others for such a long time. Don't worry!
When Daisy was living in Peru, she was a very timid cat and would
not allow anyone to pick her up. She would come to you if she wanted
attention. She was also very frightened and highly sensitive to new
situations. I could not imagine how she would travel, and how she
would cope in quarantine. But surprise surprise, it has done her the
world of good. I now have a very affectionate cat who in a matter
of hours has settled down with my mother, and is more than perfectly
happy. The timidness has gone and she is not nearly as sensitive.
It is lovely to have her back but to have her more affectionate is
an extra bonus.
So thank you Jonathan and the Animal Inn, I don't know what the wonder
drug is probably just lots of human love. Thank you very much indeed.
I would recommend you to anyone in the same position. maureeng@latinamerica.fsnet.co.uk" |
| HM Customs Search Dog Bramble, an English Springer Spaniel, from
UK Control Zone, Channel Tunnel Coquelle France |
"The return and subsequent release of Search Dog Bramble was
a high profile affair and any viewer to local television or listener
to local radio could be assured that when he was released he was fit,
well and in prime condition, and contrary to many popular beliefs
had suffered absolutely no ill effects during the quarantine period.
Prior to his formal retirement and handing him over to his ex-handler,
he was declared to be extremely fit and well by our vet and this can
be attributed to the high quality of care he received at the Animal
Inn." |
| Trixie cat from the USA, owners from London wrote |
"Rhonda and I thank you and your staff for the care you provided
to Trixie during his quarantine period. He has been home nearly a
week now and acts as though he was never away, that the 6 months never
happened. This is a very good measure of the support he received from
your group.
We particularly thank the team who interfaced with Trixie on a daily
basis. They obviously like their work and identify with the animals
and what they are going through by being confined to a much small
space space than they would normally have. So our appreciation for
your staff can not be stated strongly enough.
Thank you again. We look forward to seeing you again when we bring
Trixie in for occasional boarding." |
| Living In London, A Practical Guide, the Junior League of London |
| "This facility is considered state of the art as far as quarantines
and boarding kennels go." |
| Marjorie Wellard, owner of Kanga |
I am really pleased with the care that Kanga has received and I
thank you and all the staff for your kindness to my not so tame wild
cat. The Animal Inn is a nice place to visit, because one can see
that the welfare of the animals is a serious commitment of all the
staff. The job you do is a difficult one, with the clientele having
no understanding of their temporary situation. However,I am sure that
all the animals look forward to their routine care and visits from
the staff. Kanga obviously has good expectations whenever the front
door of the cattery opens. She is an excellent barometer because she
would be the first to hide under the bench if she had not experienced
kindness and her food.
With best wishes,
Yours sincerely,
Marjorie Wellard who may be contacted on meg_wellard@hotmail.com |
