The Contract
We believe it is clear and straight forward, but have a look for yourself:
A) In accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Agriculture,
Fisheries and Food, all dogs and cat entering quarantine will be vaccinated
upon arrival, irrespective of any previous rabies vaccinations. The fee
for this is included in your quote.
B) We require all animals in our care to be fully vaccinated against
the common illnesses. Dogs must be inoculated against the Distemper Complex,
Hard pad, Leptospirosis, Hepatitis, ParvoVirus and Kennel Cough. Cats
against Feline Flu, Enteritis and Leukaemia. If the vaccinations fall
due during the period of quarantine, they will be given as necessary.
The fees for dog booster are £30 and for a cat booster, to include Leukaemia
£35.
C) If your dog arrives in its own box, we ask that you specify if you
want the box and if so ask you to collect it within the first four weeks,
otherwise we may have to dispose of it due to lack of storage space.
D) Whilst every care and attention will be given to pet The Animal Inn
cannot be held responsible for any illness, loss or damage to any animal,
however caused, during their stay. Any veterinary treatment given to any
animal for a previously existing condition will be charged to the owner
and be payable on the following account. The decision as to whether any
veterinary treatment or medicine will be administered to the animal and
as to what treatment and medicine (if any) is requisite may be done in
consultation with the owner and the veterinary superintendent.
E) On payment of the deposit, a kennel/cat pen will be kept vacant for
one week from the date the animal is due to arrive. If the animal does
not arrive in that period these charges will be forfeited. The remaining
payments may either be paid monthly or with a discount for full pre-payment.
F) In the event of any charges or other monies due from the depositor
to The Animal Inn not being duly paid, the Animal Inn may within its absolute
discretion at any time, whether during or after the expiration of the
period, destroy, give away, sell or otherwise dispose of the animal and
out of any proceeds arising from the sale or disposition of the animal,
the Animal inn may retain all sums due and owing to the Animal Inn from
the depositor at the time of the receipt by the Animal Inn of such proceeds
and thereafter accruing, together with the costs, charges and expenses
incurred by the Animal Inn in the disposition of the animal and this condition
shall be without prejudice to the right of the Animal inn to recover from
the depositor any monies, including such costs, charges and expenses may
be due to the Animal Inn.
G) Every dog and longhaired cat will be groomed regularly, whilst clipping
and grooming will be charged extra.
H) Any accompanying items - toys, blankets, baskets etc are left at the
owners risk.
I) Your pet will be insured while undergoing the necessary quarantine
period for a maximum of £250 for any non-previously existing condition
and provided all the above vaccination requirements are up to date. Any
fees in excess of £250 will be payable by the owner.
J) Owners wishing to transfer their animals into another quarantine premises
must give one calendar months notice in writing. The animals would not
be released for transfer until all outstanding charges have been paid.
K) In the event of a death of an animal in quarantine, the charges will
be stopped at that date, less any outstanding fees.
L) I agree to quarantine my animal at the Animal Inn under the conditions
set out in this contract.
